A list of Acting Lieutenants, Masters Mates, Midshipmen, &c. whose qualifications of mathematics & the theory of mathematics, held the 19th & 20th of April 1816 at the Royal Naval College; in pursuance of the directions of the Lords Commifsioners of the Admiralty dated the 17th of April 1816’.

This volume is alphabetically indexed at the front. Apart from a Syllabus of Instruction and Schedule of Annual Examinations for Engineer Cadets 1903’ there are also other entries giving candidates’ fathers’ professions and schools attended per year and some additional correspondence and administrative papers. Among the latter are some copies of birth certificates. There is also additional information on various subjects throughout.

 

Although dated from 1897 this only covers statistics at the front. Instead the first entries actually relates to those enrolled in July July and ‘Records from July 1903’
