The majority of these papers are only loosely sorted by year and there are no apparent indexes. Each man’s correspondence is separate. When I have the opportunity to deal with a case, I shall copy this here.

This appears to be shown by date of claim made. It was not until 1799 that remittance bill numbers were begun, but there is no numbered index. There are very few officers recorded in this.
