ADM 11/38 - Pursers, Boatswains, Gunners and Carpenters 1828
Although dated
1828, this shows men passed for warrants as far back as the 1790s in some
cases. This is arranged by ranks and rough alphabetical and chronological
order. Ordinarily there is little actual information but can be very useful
for finding out dates of passing for warrants.

This is a box full
of correspondence. While there are copies of completed surveys from
individuals, one would have not only to have considerable time, but also to be
very devoted to search this for information on particular individuals!
