and Warrant Officers 1804-1808
This is the first
of a series of five volumes that spans from 1804 until 1846. There is an
alphabetical index at the front and relates to the first 16 pages taking the
entries chronologically to 1st March 1805. Confusing the matter
there are chronological entries appended to the index, but because of the
binding some of the dates cannot be made out. The rest of this although
appearing at first sight to be another alphabetical index. In reality it shows
entries roughly alphabetically and chronologically from July 1807 to June 1808
and there would appear to be missing pages as well. And, it would seem that the
entries appended to the earlier alphabetical index could be of the intervening
period.
An example of a later entry:-
