ADM 181/18 - (Commissioned Officers) Masters, Surgeons and Pursers 1708-1811
The records in
this class reflect reports made in relation to putting the annual Naval
Estimates before Parliament. In relation to superannuation, this volume covers
masters, surgeons, pursers, boatswains, carpenters and cooks. Not yet
researched (by me), it may therefore be that this information will also be
shown in the Naval Estimates themselves in Parliamentary papers.

ADM 22/25 - All Sea Officers1816-19 part I
The series in
total runs from 1793 to 1821, but apparently the entries are only indexed
(externally) from 1818 onwards. Therefore, the volume viewed straddles both and
is hideously complex. It deals not only with superannuation, but also
many other types of pension and although entered in similar types I have not
been able to positively identify one specifically relating to superannuation.
This would require researching the dates of the Admiralty Orders for
individuals, something as yet, I have not had cause to
do.
